Overview
As part of the Society's ongoing commitment to increasing opportunities for Graduate Student members to participate in the Annual Meeting and spoken sessions, PS has added a new presentation format to this year's meeting.  This format is called a "Data Blitz", and it is specifically designed to incorporate graduate student presentations into existing spoken sessions for the 2025 Psychonomic Society Annual Meeting. The PS Governing Board is testing this new format, and it may become a permanent part of the program.

What is a "Data Blitz" Presentation?
A Data Blitz presentation is a short, focused presentation that is incorporated into a regular spoken session.  These presentations are limited to 10 minutes, with 5 minutes being allocated to the presentation itself and the remaining time allocated to Q&A.  There will be 2 Data Blitz presentations selected for a given talk session, with an anticipated 30 - 40 submissions being selected for Data Blitz presentations.

Data Blitz talks will not replace "talk-ceding" where an Emeritus Fellow, Fellow, Emeritus Member, or Member allows a graduate student co-author to present a submitted talk in their place. Instead, Data Blitz presentations will be directly submitted by a graduate student and selected specifically as a Data Blitz presentation. Sponsorship is not required for these types of presentations.

Who is eligible to submit a Data Blitz Presentation?
Submissions and requests for Data Blitz presentations are open only to active (dues paid) Graduate Student members of the Society.  You must be a current member at the time of submission to be considered for a Data Blitz presentation.

Application Process
To be considered for a Data Blitz presentation, simply check the box asking if you want to be considered for a Data Blitz presentation.  This check box is included in the Graduate Student abstract submission forms.  Those applying for a J. Frank Yates Student Travel Award, Graduate Travel Award, or a Student Travel Award from Developing Nations are eligible to request consideration for this presentation type.

Those submitters who are selected for a Data Blitz presentation will be notified in July. Submitters who are not selected for a Data Blitz presentation will automatically be considered for a poster presentation.
